Just as international monkey wrenching by any legitimate government interfering in the national affairs of any other country should be opposed. The USA just happens to be the biggest bully in the World today. So we as non tax payers opposed to military spending should shine a light where ever it is causing harm. Jim Stockwell. Good to here results from DC Gathering.

We saw no Russian military occupation of Crimea, and realized it would have been completely unnecessary as people there voted by referendum to stay with Russia. We met the organizers of that referendum in Sebastopol.

I am really looking forward to the notes on the conference, and in particular, the results of the votes on the proposals. Congratulations to all and many thanks for the beautiful card you send Alex and me.

Thanks for making me clarify the above. I edited the post to make clear that the phrase “the legitimate government of Nicolás Maduro” was from Code Pink. I should also clarify that those NWTRCC folks who went down to support the activists inside the Embassy were not there to support the Maduro regime, but voice their opposition to U.S. intervention in Venezuela. It is believed that if the U.S. turns over the Maduro Embassy in D.C. to Guaidó supporters, that this would be a step toward U.S. military intervention in Venezuela. Medea Benjamin also made clear that Code Pink did not want their actions to be seen as supporting the Maduro regime. I believe the Code Pink phrase “the legitimate government of Nicolás Maduro” is meant to give them a legal standing for their continued presence in the Embassy.

While originally writing this post, I debated how much detail to provide about the Venezuela situation because I wanted this post to be more about the conference and not simply one about Venezuela. Thanks again David for making me be more careful with my words.

Glad the conference went well.
