It took me a few days to process, because I’m hitting a big wall right now and I felt defensive and challenged when I first read it. Lately I’ve been forced to really examine my motivation, and more important, my conviction. I’m learning that choosing to resist paying taxes requires constant reevaluation based on circumstances beyond my control. I have to keep figuring out what I can control, what my options are, and how to adjust. It’s difficult and stressful, but when I calm down and listen to my conscience instead of banging my head against the wall, things get much clearer.
