I enjoy getting VFP emails, so informative, and every couple of years I check the FIC website to see what’s happening in the world of intentional living.

And offer two other orgs to consider getting with: Foundation for Intentional Community (ic.org) and Veterans for Peace (veteransforpeace.org). My story: At 49, decided to quit The Job (making in today’s dollars close to six figs), resignation date April Fool’s Day 1985. With a personal sort-of vow to “live simply, that others may simply live.” Which covers both working (or, not-working) for Peace and for a livable environment. And have lived mostly happily and Foolishly (see Tolstoy, “Ivan the Fool”) with the uncertainties of all that in the so-far ever after. – Jim Allen

Thanks Lindsey. It is a shame that due to health care issue or education choices that some people really can’t lower their income as easily as others.
