On the one hand, the horrors of war should be shouted from the rooftops. On the other hand, there is a shocking disparity between coverage of this war, where the victims are European, and wars in other regions or perpetrated by the US government. I saw a clip with rapid cuts of commentators early in the Ukraine war expressing their dismay that people are being shot at who have blonde hair and blue eyes! Meanwhile, there is an ongoing war in Ethiopia that at least at one point in the war had far more deaths than the war in Ukraine, but receives minimal coverage.
