So, the Medicaid funding of abortion stopped.
Why wouldn’t that be a legitimate argument for those of us opposed to war? The precedent is there.
I belong to Veterans For Peace, an organization founded by veterans of the first Gulf War. VFP believes that use of military force should be confined to direct self-defense. These wars for oil and other resources, or for political gain on the international stage, are not legitimate uses of force.
If people could get the government to stop funding abortions with federal tax dollars, surely we can achieve that same end when it comes to war!

We have been saying the same thing over and over for a very long time and obviously attracting insufficient attention and new recruits to make an impact. We might succeed in making ourselves individually feel pure and clean, but we have very little impact in the broader world.
