Some people thought that was an ironic position given my refusal to pay federal income taxes. But I do not oppose the taxes generally and would gladly support a steeply graduated federal income tax If it were not for the 50% war spending that the federal government insists on adopting for decades Regardless of Republican or Democratic control of the Congress.
