I too have refused to pay war taxes for over 40 years. I refuse because I believe in the teachings of Christ and other spiritual leaders. His message of loving one’s enemies and dong good to them makes the most sense since it alone, as Christ taught, will bring us happiness. We cannot say we are followers of Christ and, at the same time, pay for the killing of our sisters and brothers in the world.
